  okay, so this weekends weather has been a bit crazy, especially in california; twisters geez.

  anyway, i heard some people talking how this weekends weather rain, no rain , back to rain and no rain again is a sure sign of the end being nearer.

  so if it would be hot as it was last week, would it have been a sure sign too?

  okay, so my friends are going to this weekends assembly... social gathering as i see it.

  so, it goes from friday, saturday and sunday!

  three days of all the same info over and over and oh the drama.. so exciting!!

  okay, so my friends are going to this weekends assembly... social gathering as I see it. So, it goes from Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Three days of all the same info over and over and oh the Drama.. so exciting!! LOL As I have mentioned before, I've been to a few of these and found nothing in them. I did not feel any spiritual guidance or anything. I can't explain it, I felt nothing. When I do go to a regular church I feel better. I feel the sense of acceptance by the congregation and the Lord. I am politely denying my friends invite to the weekend. I will hear about how great it was when they get home. Is it true, that where will be new light? If so, what is this new light and what was the old light? Im still praying that they will eventually find their way away from this organization, Hopefully someday my prayers will be answered and they will turn to the right light. I know it is possible, if they can find their way out because I see you all here, so please pray that my friends and family find their way out of this group. It is frustrating hearing that they are in the truth and that the end is so near. How much longer do I have to hear them say that and see that they truly believe it?

  so far, i like needful things, secret window/hidden garden, and langoliers best.. guy at the bookstore said the stand was the best.. i just bought the shining and pet cemetary (book's in the other room.

  can't spell).

  I'm a reader, I have shelves of his stuff too. I've been collecting since I was a kid. IT, I would say is my most favorite. But his other material is outstanding too. Gosh, I can't think of other faves, because I love them all.

  in modern bibles it reads "i can do all things through christ who strengthens me.

  " in nwt it reads kind of similar except it leaves off through christ.

  if not through christ, then who?

  I have always liked that verse. was modern the correct word? I use a variation of bibles including nkjv . more often I use kjv and it says the same thing. but I am curious as to the answer to my post. is it jesus that the nwt is talking about? if so why not say it. if not who? thanks for your help

  hi just browsing a few places here and a few things came to mind.

  one was more of a question, the revelation book that the jw's study... i recall a short time back that someone posted the changes that were made to that book.

  can someone, please, help me find that link again?

  i've been to three and they were three days and bored the HELL-O out of me. The dramas.. yeah that is it. That was truly the best part of the weekend. All the thousands of people scare me especially when I want to get up to get a drink (from the VENDING MACHINE, that I was told I could not use) and men in suits guide me to a water (of discusting taste) fountain. I'm so glad Im not involved in this religion because that would be the worst weekends of my life. lol

  hi just browsing a few places here and a few things came to mind. One was more of a question, the revelation book that the JW's study... I recall a short time back that someone posted the changes that were made to that book. Can someone, please, help me find that link again? and boy, isn't the end of the book study so traggic? A friend of mine is so much into the Watchtower being the truth and Bible prophecies wrapping up, he even said a comment on the lines of the part of the bible about religion coming to an end and the end of the book study night proof. Is that something that might have been said at the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT? I really wish I had spilled the beans to him of what the announcement was. oh and the convention that is coming up at the end of MAY, even though I've been to a few I really have no idea what goes on. I do recall the plays, but what is spoken about, no clue. Can someone let me know what goes on for those three days that seem to happen on a holiday (so people cannot enjoy a camping trip or something?) I truly am still confused at what type of studying goes on on each night of the week.

  l wonder how many are going to accept it because they (the wt) says so or will there be a lot of people asking why.7 how many jw's know what the announcement is going to be 7 we live in a country where we can have bible study's with anyone who wants.

Telling Sw 's that they can no longer do that Will not only be taking that freedom away but placing more Countrol. I know that has already been said here but its on my mind more so now . im worried for my friends and family more now too because I think they will begin not to think for themselves and just take information without their own research to see if it is correct. I think im even more confused now then ever before. it doesn't bother me that they all believe a certain way but it hurts a lot to see that the teachings that they believing do not always line up with what the bible teaches us. I've seen so many people at the halls who apear to be like robots. the looks on the audience faces are very similar nodding at the very percise moment. I feel that im in a foreign country. what is going through these once innocent minds. even the children are trainee to answer in a robot fasion. I think the canceling of the home study would be the most damaging thing that the society could do to its people. this is probably the only time that they can think without the influence and fear of what others will think of them. someone get my mind on something else please ...
